Installers are required to fill the details of the install appointment on their handset using the runabout application. In the event that an installer is unable to access runabout to fill the details at the time of the appointment a paper form will be required to be filled. Once the form is received you will need to enter into ASAP using the details below.
Prior to creating a new appointment, check to ensure no other work of the same nature has been performed at this address already. To do this open a new ASAP tab and search for the address entering only the street and suburb to see all options in the immediate vicinity. This broadens the search capturing any addresses that could be a variation of the address you are searching for.
Creating a new Job also creates the first appointment
- From the top menu bar select New Job
- Use the Address Search bar at the top of the form to quickly find and populate the new job Property Address detail
- Using the Address Search bar also performs the first level of address validation using Google Maps search engine.
- If there are any additional address details missed by this action, edit the Property Address form to reflect the accurate address, sometimes you might need to add a unit or floor number.
- Fill in the rest of the Customer Details form
- Select the appropriate Client and Agent and click Create Job
- The second level of address validation now kicks in and cross references the input address against GNAF
- If you are asked to refine the address, ASAP will give you a list of found options, choose the relevant option and click Change Address, you will be taken back to the New Job screen where the new address has been entered, Click Create Job to continue.
- Or click Save for Later to save the address that you have entered, so you can justify the address later, You will need to retrieve the appointment from the inelligible job list
- Complete any job questions and click Save and Continue
- If you know what date and time the appointment is for, you can book it in now using the Smart Scheduler, the smart scheduler will show you which field workers are available for what times and where their previous and following appointments are so you can book them in without overlapping existing jobs.
- Alternatively you can select Add to Waiting List to schedule the appointment for later
The job is now created, and an appointment scheduled or is waiting to be assigned to a Field Worker.
