- Open the Runabout application on your handheld device, This will bring you to the main screen
- From the main screen tap on the day’s schedule that you want to create the appointment in
- If you are creating an appointment for today then tap on Today’s Schedule
- If you are creating an appointment for tomorrow then tap on Tomorrow’s Schedule
- If you are creating an appointment for another day in the future, then tap on Schedule Calendar and select the correct day
- Tap the Plus sign at the bottom right corner
- This will bring up the New Appointment screen
- Assign To -This is where you can assign the New Appointment to yourself, If there is only 1 Subscription on the handheld device then this will automatically be filled with your name
- Schedule Date - Runabout will automatically fill in the Date depending on which Day’s Schedule you are creating the New Appointment
- Schedule Time - This where you fill in the time of day of the New Appointment that you are creating. Tap to choose the closest time to when you are performing the appointment
- Work Type - Some people have different Work Types available, depending on the type of work they do, for instance you might do Residential Assessments and Commercial Lighting Assessments, you can choose the type of appointment you are doing here.
- Customer Details - This is where you type in all of the Customers Details for the Appointment you are creating, Tap Customer Details to fill in the customer’s details, this will bring you to the Customer Details menu
- Customer - Tap to enter the customer’s name, this will bring up a pop-up menu
- First Name
- Fill in the first name of the person over the age of 18 who will be present for the appointment
- Last Name
- Fill in the last name of the person over the age of 18 who will be present for the appointment
- Tap OK to save the information you have just entered, this will return you to the Customer Details menu
- Address - Tap to fill in the customer’s address, this will bring up the Address menu where you fill in the customer’s address
- Tap the Location icon at the top right corner
- This will return the closest address to your physical location
- Tap the displayed address to select it
- Tap your handheld device’s back button to save the information you have just entered
If the address provided isn’t quite correct, you can select the nearest address, then edit the Address details.
If you are having trouble obtaining the right address, please ask the customer if you can see a bill to obtain a valid address.
- Enter the address manually
- In Runabout, when you are entering appointment information, you are able to take a photo of the address on the bill, if the customer allows you.
- Email - Runabout will automatically send the customer their copy of the paperwork to a provided email address, tap to enter the customer’s email address
- Landline # - You need to fill in at least one Phone Number, tap to enter the customer’s home phone number
- Mobile # - You need to fill in at least one Phone Number, tap to enter the customer’s mobile number
- Customer Type - Tap to enter a Customer Type
- Choose either Business or Residential
- Company Name - tap to enter a Company Name if the appointment is for a business
- External Job ID - Tap to enter a External Job ID , an External Job ID isn’t required, but if you have one, enter it here.
- TAP THE BACK BUTTON TO RETURN TO THE NEW APPOINTMENT SCREEN ONCE YOU HAVE ENTERED ALL OF THE CORRECT INFORMATION
- Tap the SUBMIT button (paper plane icon at the top right of the screen to save all the information you have just entered for this appointment
This will UPLOAD the new appointment to ASAP
